FIRST YEAR: AUTUMN SEMESTER 2003.
EXAMINATION QUESTIONS.
DECEMBER 2005. - JANUARY 2006.
Below are listed the examination questions in British History, Civilisation and Culture for all First Year Students for the Autumn Semester 2005. After each question there are a list of sub-headings; These are designed to help you focus your answer so as to cover the main areas of the topic you have chosen. When preparing your answers please consider the following points:
¨\*¨put your ideas together in a linked coherent way, with a clear beginning, middle and end. Do not just speak without thinking.
¨\*¨include as much relevant information as possible; evidence of extra reading will gain extra points. Do not just repeat your lecture notes.
The questions are grouped in sections according to the general topics given in lectures and seminars. You must choose ONE and ONLY ONE question from EACH section and tell your examiner which ones you have chosen when you present yourself for examination. Be prepared to answer questions after you have spoken about your topic.
The examination is to find out how much you know, not what you don't know.
